The rubber of Unparallel is promises to be even stickier then the original 5.10 rubber.
The closure system is good old-fashioned lacing, but my own Masais fit so well I often forego actually tightening and knotting them. Rubber not so good as the former 5.10 but the coin flipped to La Sportiva side for me. > Tom (TXG) went up half a size.
The steep roof is a low start to Chris Sharma's Euro Roof and packs in 25 moves without a rest.
I’m between eur 39.5-40.5 in LaSpo and either 42 or 42.5 on 5.10 for similar fit & performance (variance comes from different models).
If they're as good as everyone says they are I'll have to buy another pair. The fit is absolutely glove-like, and this is coming from someone who no longer crams his feet into the smallest possible size. So is the consensus that the Masai are the same fit and sizing as the Anasazi Pink then?
Sorry, this product is out of stock. The Unparallel Lace up’s (ordered at Darkventures).
All the latest deals, new releases, blog articles and more. I don’t mind that much the price but the Tenaya Masia is very competitive and good available. now i am emotional prepared I mail ordered old size Pinks (in Canada). Both the Tenaya Masia and the Lace up are good designed.

amazing to put on and perfect for trad days as they are very comfy, These are my 7th pair of these shoes. Very impressed, a very well finished shoe at first sight. As you say they perform extreme well on edges, the rubber is fantastic.
After several pairs still happy with them. I miss my 5.10 Pink’s (UK 8.5.). Former UK 8.5 (pink) is now UK 9.5 (for me).
Settled with 9.5 (usually 8.5) They definitely feel narrower. Free Shipping over £60, Thermarest NeoAir Xlite Max SV Regular (2019), Black Diamond HoodWire Quickpack 12cm (2019). Very impressed, a very well finished shoe at first sight. MASAI – What Tenaya Says: ... What Cragmama Says: These shoes are reminiscent of a stiff, technical shoe such as the Anasazi Verde, and are a great choice for vertical faces. I tried on numerous different shoes before finally settling on the Masai. United Kingdom.
Great service from Rock + Run, Really good service and customer experience. The Lace Up is a little less pointy then the Tenaya Masai, so less ideal for little limestone pockets. I am very anxious how sticky the rubber is and how size wise they do.
> If they're as good as everyone says they are I'll have to buy another pair. It’s more to do with the size of the toe box and, sometimes, honestly, just the marketing.
Maybe the Unparallel is a bit more stiff and less sensitive then the Tenaya Masia which is form wise very close to the former Pink’s, hopefully better.
Compared to the Masai, the Oasi is considerably less rigid, but due, no doubt, to all those fancy sounding advanced technologies at work, somehow still feels incredibly precise on small edges. https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/gear/anasazi_pinks_sold_out-700427, Edit: Last I checked needlesports stocked them. These are not going to have you standing on a millimetre like Tommy Caldwell but by the time you’ve graduated to your next pair of shoes they will have taught you more about using your feet than you can imagine!

The Masai are on sale in a couple of places so I'm tempted to get a pair for when my Pinks pack it in for good, but I can only find them in size 8, not 8.5. Apparently Adidas has put them back on the shelfs.
Share it with your friends so they can enjoy it too!
? The girlfriend also is the same in both shoes as well.
What I want to say is that even subtle changes in the design or material can make big difference or can’t be done at a price.
The logo on the sole was definitely different, but I don't know how the rubber actually compares. Here, in no particular order are the 10 best rock climbing shoes for beginners! As a beginner there are so many traps to fall into while buying your first pair of shoes.

@ justdoit. For the records, I have owned numerous 510 shoes and used the velcro as my daily driver for a few years. Not just any old Velcro closure system but the patented Draxtor Velcro closure system — a fancy criss-cross webbing and Velcro affair that’s infinitely adjustable and, though it looks a bit Micky Mouse at first glance, does the job perfectly. Comfort is exceptional but performance is no slouch either. The Tenaya Masai has long been touted as a direct competitor to the various Five Ten lace up Anasazis. This means the shoe will hold its shape reasonably well with time and use, although the weight of material is marginally lighter than that used in some contemporary models, so you can expect a little more by way of stretch/give.
85% of this shoe is made from recycled materials, gaining you eco-conscious cred on the crag. Will try both. I've seen some Pink at my local climbing wall's shop last night (and I recall them not having any when I enquired a few months ago, so they must be factory fresh) and the rand seems to go a bit higher up the shoe when compared to my ones. We can notify you when this product is available: The Tenaya Masai is an exquisitely precise and supportive rock climbing shoe, making it an ideal weapon of choice for both edgy face climbs and precarious pebble dances alike. Muira’s VC and lace 8.5 UK. Great on small edges and surprisingly seem to perform better on steeper stuff than my old ocun ozones.
The Tenaya Masai arrived also from Spain (fast). All the latest deals, new releases, blog articles and more.
E.g their Masai is pretty close to the original Pink. You can do long day multi-pitches outside and tick off some indoor bouldering routes in these! On average a pair of rock climbing shoes, well worn, will last 6 months! Strange enough for the TC-pros I am UK 7.5 and for Muira VC UK 8.5. Strongly suspect Adidas just scrimping on the production process. (Not a native speaker.) I'm interested in these.
I love 5:10 because their rubber is solid, you can stick to anything and in the Rogue you can also walk comfortably between routes in your local gym.
You save: 12% ( The whole range of UnParallel shoes is obtainable at Darkventures (see link in MischHY’s post). sensitivity . These are just as good for beginners and I highly recommend them.
Has the design of the Pink changed recently? About the 5.10 Anasazi’s later when received. Regarding sizing: this is always a tricky one, as one person’s ‘snug’ may be another’s ‘crippling’, but going one size down from street wear should work for most folk. I have to say I was really disappointed with my last two pairs of 5.10 pinks: the first pair wore out far too quickly relative to the amount use they received, and the second paid was much bigger despite being officially the same size (very poor product control) and I also agree that the rubber is not up to snuff. FWIW: Tenaya Oasi, exact same sizing as Scarpa instinct for me, i.e. ? With just these two shoes one should happily be able do tackle everything from extreme bouldering to multi-pitch rock routes and in no way feel disadvantaged to climbers. 154.95 $ rigidity. Ordered some from the new stock and can't get my feet in them.
Unparallel rubber. It was comfortingly similar to the ‘Pink’ but without that annoying heel cup. Thank you! The Tenaya Masai.
I agree with you the Up Lace is without doubt very well designed and even good-looking . All sizes including half sizes will be in the U.K. next week , I'm still holding on to hope that they reintroduce the Anasazi Guide - by the time I found out they'd been dropped it was too late to stock up on spare pairs, To bad I have also given up on the Guide Tennies like many others.
If you require some assistance with sizing this shoe to your particular needs click here: Rock Shoe Sizing Guide. As well as the Unparallel Lace Up. with the same characteristics? Additionally, does anyone have any advice regarding the stretch of Tenaya shoes? Full size up too! Hi. These will not leave you wanting when you smear and heal hook. https://darkventures.co.uk/shop?olsPage=products%2Funparallel-lace.
Is there another shoe I should consider?
So that’s a full size up! Where to start? The Oasi comes bundled with more technical specs than you can shake a stick at. It can be that I have become “a Petit Poucet” read: oversensitive something.
3.5. rigidity.
Heel not totally perfect for me, but better than the pinks.
