I love restoring them, parts are still available, They work flawlessly, the trigger can be easily massaged to work better, An old coffee can (plastic works) with solvent will clean the parts in a jiffy.

I have a 60 model marlin 22 long. It’s lighter than the Ruger 10/22. Another one of those squidgy marketing terms. But that Marlin sure would. Nothing worse then trying to read a article about marlin rifles and half the article is about the Ruger 10-22. I dunno about all that, but I do know that my rifle is more accurate than I am. No need to take off the C clips and all those springs. All around an excellent budget plinker….:). In the Model 60’s milieu (much like Meineke’s), value starts with the fact that you’re not going to pay a lot. Triggers all have same amount of pull so no getting used to different ones. Take the reloading awkwardness out of the equation, and you’ve got a solid 4+ stars.
