Should I use Prims & pegasians instead of guardians? I doubt switching prims and pegasians is worth it, I’d say either guardian boots or just prims are best. I only do them for the pet though. Garg boss isn’t weak to crush, so whip + ddef is best. Other bosses usually only require you to either change combat style or protection prayer. That said I think GG were doomed to fail from day 1 because they aren't viewed separately from Gargoyles as a stand-alone boss but rather a much more high effort alternative that should therefore have a much better drop table which, given how OP the updated gargoyle drop table is, simply wasnt possible. I did the grotesque guardians for the first time today. I used a bludgeon. Pray mage. But the boss itself is really fun and I think jagex did an awesome job with it. Close. I get why people don't like them, I have pretty middling stats but I was averaging a bit over 3 minutes a kill which is kinda lame, the drops are alright and if you get lucky with Sara brews you can get a decent amount of kills in an inventory (I think my best was 7) but money wise it's no zulrah. but nah all sarcasm aside, I think if they were able to shorten or remove the long phase changing animations the boss would be great.
