i have tried yuca at several south american restaurants and while we were in Chile, however i think the fries sound much better than boiled in soup, or made into fried patties. These look easy enough to try as a first timer! I haven’t done my research but I’m wondering if you could spiralize and do pasta with this? Here it’s called telo, it’s a Surinam snack. Rutagaba isn’t something you normally see, but will definitely make for a great french fry! How rare is that with home-made fries? Use a vegetable peeler to peel the outside waxy layer from the yuca (just as you would a potato). Â Poor Adam. the boiled yuca didn’t do it for me, and the patties really had too much ‘flour-type’ stuff to enjoy IMO. And I’m SO glad to hear you like my cookbook! I definitely need to try this recipe since we are huge fans of roasted veggies.

Hi Maya, a few weeks earlier I found that I can eat rutabaga on low carb diet.
They remain crisp on the outside and soft on the inside even in Florida heat and humidity. There are two grocery stores near me that carry yuca, if you are having trouble finding it I believe most Latin markets have it as well as speciality stores. The keto diet has lots of rules: no carbs, no sugars, no fruits. While the fries are cooking, make the cilantro lime mayonnaise. And while I absolutely love zucchini fries, I was missing the basic flavor and texture of traditional fries. Hi I don’t have avocado oil, could I use olive oil or extra virgin coconut oil instead?
