She never smiles why??? Half of them couldn't find their asses in the dark without the bank of writers, editors and producers making them look good...the ones who are treated like caca. The obvious candidates are Ryan Covay, Frandsen and Hoffar. They're not. What about Brian Copeland? Perhaps it’s misleading to say Crowe made his presence felt on Friday, because that would seem to imply that Friday was when he started making moves. I love the daring ones! How do you dramatically improve the visual presentation of the News and make it more viewer enjoyable, get rid of the 50 year old "half people " format!Example...Rosemary in the "whole people" format, a pleasure to watch. In the last 50 years everything has changed except the News Media's "half people" format, soo boring. Now they have to figure out how to "show" the News, some have, some never will. I'm almost tempted to go there now and see. In the short-term, KNBR fans will wait to see who Crowe chooses as the new permanent SportsPhone 680 host(s). TV, Radio, Internet...dishing dirt since 2001. Foxy...She's one of the daring ones who plays on the "extra special" team. Are morning anchors at the bottom of the pay scale? “The Audible” didn’t get any traction, although creating a show in a brand new time slot on KNBR’s afterthought station was an ambitious undertaking from the beginning. If true, John Lund is ridiculously overpaid in my opinion.
That girl is the biggest bully in SF!! Brooks then for many years co-hosted the KNBR early afternoon show with Bob Fitzgerald until "Rudy" was let go in 2019. The Warriors are going to have to get creative to add pieces this offseason. Tell me about it. He made some subtler changes as the PD at KNBR 1050, which I noticed a year ago when Ramey ended one of our weekly segments — which for months had averaged about 15 minutes each — after a few questions and only three or four minutes. She is also very foxy. CBS needs to make cuts because they're about to open the bank to Gayle King at the "Morning Show"As far as Brian Hackney is concerned, I watch him on the weekends and he does a fine job along with Juliette Goodrich and that's why I watch. “Cumulus Media is on the brink of a total collapse,”, had their show cut from three hours to two, Bruce’s boast upon leaving KNBR that he would send Tom Tolbert into retirement, Already have the app? It’ll take longer to sort out how Crowe meshes with established hosts who’ve done things a certain way for decades, or whether the changes he makes will help widen 680’s lead over 95.7, or turn off Bay Area fans who don’t necessarily want a local version of ESPN radio. Don't like it? SAN FRANCISCO–Brian Murphy has always been one of the best story-tellers and conversationalists in the Bay Area, and has been actually employed by KNBR to do that every week-day morning for the last 11 years. It's ALL I've been listening to for five-years now...having fled from the "painfully dreadful" KNBR and The Game. Why should someone smile while delivering sad news. KNBR and “change” haven’t gone together often over the last decade.
Before joining KNBR, Crowe was Jason Barrett’s assistant program director at 95.7. This was three full-time hosts, two with their own shows, getting fired on the same day. Start with Lund and Willard, and maybe morning crew. Brian Murphy: KNBR: $300,000 23. Pam Moore at 300 and Julie Haener at 600? (With all that dough you'd think these two would want to look sort of attractive and invest in a decent wardrobe and some bolt-on boobs!). It really is astounding how low these numbers are considering the market size. The idea that Elizabeth Cook makes more than Pam Moore is mind-boggling. He should be retired and she should be waiting tables, assuming she can read a menu better than she can read a teleprompter. Just based on what you claim is Lund's salary, I'm calling bullshit on these numbers. The more important question is why in the world would you pay these guys so much money to begin with?? Why would KNBR pay Paul McCaffrey the same amount as Brian Murphy? LOL for Ken Wayne. How the fuck is Lund getting $300K? That’s assuming Cumulus doesn’t file for bankruptcy and make drastic budget cuts across all stations, even successful ones like KNBR. Crowe believes hosts should spend ample time preparing for each show, which shouldn’t be a problem for someone like Lund … but it isn’t too difficult to guess who might push back if Crowe tries to change decades-old habits. Mike Mibach: KTVU $245,577 27. Some KNBR staffers think Hammer is close to retirement, and it remains to be seen if he’ll have much input on the rest of KNBR’s programming. He's no better than the rest of the goons at that station. Their salaries are at the level to purchase a house in the Bay Area. Literally months. I think that Claudine is worth more. I figure your pulling in about $ 500k a year, 20% ok?
Clean slate. The stock closed at 43 cents on Tuesday. KNBR is like cheesecake when you're supposed to go on a diet. Along with heading KNBR’s digital push, which Cumulus is trying to implement across all of its stations, Crowe is tasked with making KNBR leaner, and perhaps meaner if Friday’s bloodletting was an indication. Bankruptcy rumors have followed the company for a while.
Greg saying it's painfully dreadful is an understatement. This comment has been removed by the author. The sports talk we’re used to, just based on the most successful and longest-tenured hosts in the region, became KNBR’s style over time — free-flowing and far less intense/angry/manic compared to what one might here on stations like WFAN or WEEI. Losing the Warriors was painful, especially at first, but that’s a problem that could get cleared up in a couple seasons (something I’ll address in my next media column). Some KNBR staffers think Hammer is close to retirement, and it remains to be seen if he’ll have much input on the rest of KNBR’s programming.
One day someone at KTVU will realize (understand clearly) the talent (skills) that she has. Always good to catch-up with Murph, the long-time SF Chronicle scribe and now radio mainstay. 21: Gary Radnich: KRON: $300,000 (Excluding KNBR Salary --unknown) 22. Ramey took over Damon Bruce’s old time slot on KNBR 1050 (this is where I should probably note that I was a weekly guest on Ramey’s show for three years).
